The main goals of public policy are to smoothly supply living convenience facilities necessary for people's daily life and to satisfy basic needs. However, despite efforts on the part of the central and local government, the gap between urban and rural areas still remains huge. On the other hand, emphasis has been made to prioritize meeting the shortage of support facilities for basic living by focusing on rural base areas to satisfy the minimum standards of basic living infrastructure. Therefore, the present study paid attention to the accessibility of basic living infrastructure facilities closely associated with the quality of life of rural residents, and ultimately aimed at diagnosing the vulnerabilities of basic living infrastructure in rural areas based on spatial big data. The study adopted a grid system so as to overcome the limitations of existing administrative district boundaries divided based on administrative convenience and to allow microscopic spatial exploration and accessibility analysis. Furthermore, the study derived a vulnerability diagnostic index befitting rural areas and applied it to the case area. Therefore, we look forward to the applicability of the research results as basic data for improving rural areas with vulnerable basic living services.
